The university-level round of the 8th National Teaching Competition for Young College Teachers concluded recently at Shantou University. The event was jointly organized by the Academic Affairs Office, the Center for Faculty Development and Educational Evaluation, and the University Labour Union.

Yu Fei of the English Language Center competed with a lesson from the course College Integrated English II. After an online expert review and a live university final, he took the Grand Prize in Group 1 — the Liberal Arts Group, special track for ideological and political theory courses — and will represent the university at the provincial round.

His clear course design, fluent delivery, and confident command of the classroom impressed the judges. The award reflects the professionalism and commitment to excellence among the College's young teachers.

The College of Liberal Arts and the center will support Yu Fei as he prepares for the provincial competition, and will continue to use competitions to drive teaching reform and the development of young faculty.
