Lecturer

Julia has taught EFL/ESL to adult students in Mainland China, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, and the USA since 2008. Adopting a student-centered approach, she believes that with proper guidance and the right attitude, students’ L1 is in no way an impediment to mastering the English language. Julia is a proponent of 21^st-century teaching yet strives to incorporate age-old principles of L2 teaching and learning in the classroom. She is particularly interested in developing CEFR-based curriculum and materials and exploring cross-cultural dimensions of L2 learning and teaching.
