Her research has focused on English learning and teaching (particularly in speaking and writing, developing critical thinking and critical language pedagogy in relation to ELF), and intercultural culture learning in the EFL classroom. She believes that teaching requires deep understanding that can only come when students internalize and actively apply knowledge in creative and meaningful ways.
