General course description: This is the first course in an exceptional education program designed to help students to develop independent language learning skills, to reach an advanced level of specialized English-language competence suitable for international professional legal work and/or academic research, to develop a strong understanding of international standards, and to qualify as a lawyer in the PRC. GLE1 is an integrated skills course that strongly emphasizes reading, vocabulary building, and basic speaking.The primary textbooks for this course are:
