Joan ( LUO Shuqiong ) Instructor

Joan LUO, born in 1995, is a current instructor in ELC. She has several teaching experience when she was a student, including being a substitute English teacherand an intern English teacher in senior high schools in Guangzhou. She also served as a voluntary English and music teacher in a primary school in Huizhou, teaching English as well as singing and dancing during the summer vacation. Additionally, she was a research assistant in the Education University of Hong Kong.

Additionally, Joan is fond of doing research and she has given presentations in several international conferences related to English education. She has been invited to present her paper about the flipped language learning at the University of Oxford, the United Kingdom in August, 2019 and also she shared her ideas about learning English through singing in the conference held in Shanghai and Guangzhou. Her research interests included the impact of music in learning English and e-learning in language classroom.

During her spare time, she enjoys playing music and swimming. Having learned the piano for over 18 years and addicted to dancing and singing, she has mademusic a vital part of her life.She also has performed on the English Festival in 2018 and 2019and served as a coach for Singing Contest. She was awarded the First Prize in Guangdong Art Performance (Instrument) for College Students
