Nick Lischynsky Lecturer

Nick Lischynsky has been teaching English to speakers of other languages since 2012. He received a BA in Linguistics (2010) and an MS TESOL (2015) from the University at Albany in the United States. In the United States, he was heavily involved with non-profit organizations in conducting ESL classes and individual tutoring sessions with newly arrived immigrants and refugees. These classes and sessions met a wide variety of goals, ranging from basic conversation skills and developing beginning literacy to university preparation. He also worked in intensive language programs to prepare students for undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Currently, he is an instructor in the English Language Center (ELC) of Shantou University in Shantou, China, where he teaches first- and second-year students and carries out duties in curriculum planning and assessment writing.

Outside the classroom, he enjoys learning languages, kayaking, and watching movies.
